Redwood has appointed Dominic Mills as Royal Mail group editor

The UK’s leading strategic content agency, Redwood, has appointed former editorial director of Haymarket Business Media, Dominic Mills as Royal Mail group editor.

In his new position, Mills will oversee the editorial content of the Royal Mail account at Redwood, including a new magazine, digital and email communication and the online marketing resource Mail Media Centre.

During his 13 years as editorial director of Haymarket Business Media (1998-2011), Mills was responsible for all editorial content across the group and the direction of over 30 titles including Campaign, Marketing and Brand Republic.  Working closely with a number of Haymarket’s international divisions, he built a good understanding of worldwide markets, launching and re-launching titles across Asia, Germany and the US.  Mills was also a driving force in the launch of digital title Revolution and Haymarket’s subsequent digital expansion in the UK.

Dominic Mills said of his appointment:

“I’m delighted to join Redwood. I’ve admired both it and the content it produces for many years. The opportunity to work on a brand as well-known and prestigious as Royal Mail is one I’m really excited to take on. I’ve followed the business closely during my time as editor of Campaign and then working across Haymarket’s brand media titles and I know what a significant part of the marketing landscape it occupies.”

“The Royal Mail’s role in mail media, providing a trusted fulfilment service as part of the e-commerce revolution, means it has never been more relevant to business customers. Bringing my knowledge and experience to bear on its marketing communications will be hugely stimulating.”

Sara Cremer, group editorial director at Redwood added:

“Dominic’s 25 years of experience as a business editor and his strong knowledge of commercial and digital media makes him perfectly placed to take over as group editor for Royal Mail here at Redwood.  He oversaw a great deal of change during his time at Haymarket, and his experience will be invaluable in helping drive forward Redwood’s business. We’re delighted to welcome him to our agency.”
