Philips Public Signage at Screenmedia expo May 16-17 Earls Court
According to Philips, the range of solutions on board cover a wide range of applications including touchscreen solutions for car dealerships, wayfinding solutions for hospitals and shopping centers, touch table content for corporate receptions and museums, plus a complete range of retail digital signage solutions. The company will have a wide variety of its display products on hand to showcase, from a two-by-two video wall veaturing 46-inch, ultra-thin bezel displays to its 65-inch large-format display.
Philips said it has worked closely with various software and developer partners to bring to market total solutions.
One software partner joining them on stand is Net Display Systems, which will be demonstrating its new digital signage software product PADS4. PADS4 enables deployers to design, schedule and distribute any type of content and have it displayed where and whenever they want, according to the announcement. The database connectivity features make it possible even for users to include real-time data from any data source in their content with just a couple of mouse clicks. It also comes with a Software Development Kit for custom solutions enabling IT developers all over the world to develop custom solutions around PADS4. PADS4 also is customizable, as it is an open system that is based on standard technologies (Microsoft .NET development environment).
AOpen will also be joining the stand, showcasing its Smart Insert Solution. Teamed with the Philips large format displays, the combination offers a complete, tested and certified digital signage platform, providing customers with a reliable and open hardware solution. The Smart Insert in the rear panel of the display provides space for the DE7000 Digital Engine to be mounted with a small bracket. It can then be used to store and manage all media content, with no increase to the overall depth of the display, keeping them as sleek and narrow as possible.
