Ramarketing has recruited Northumbria University graduate Jodie Balmer

A rapidly growing North East-based PR and marketing agency has appointed a new consultant to help manage increased demand for its creative services.

Ramarketing has recruited Northumbria University graduate Jodie Balmer, from Tyneside, to assist with the company’s expanding client base.

The 26-year-old joins the team of five consultants after several new client wins including global contract Laboratory Edwards Analytical and national assistive technology provider e-Quality Learning.

The mobile consultancy’s client portfolio already includes several high-profile businesses including SCM Pharma, Onyx Scientific, AYO Digital and The Specials Laboratory.

Jodie, who has a First Class Honours (BSc) degree in Communication and Public Relations, has already successfully executed PR campaigns such as the Chase Park Music Festival, which recently achieved regional and national exposure including coverage on BBC Radio 1 and The Guardian.

Raman Sehgal, owner at ramarketing, said: “We have just picked-up several new clients and have many more in the pipeline so it was the ideal time to bring Jodie on board on a full-time basis.

“It’s a really tough world out there for graduates, especially looking for PR and marketing roles in the North East, but Jodie has the passion and the creativity that we were looking for that will no doubt assist our clients.

“I’ve been extremely impressed with Jodie’s attitude to work and she brings an excellent skill-set relating to digital PR and social media campaigns which are in high demand at present.

Set up in 2009, ramarketing trebled in size last year and was recently shortlisted for three North East CIPR awards including the prestigious Small Consultancy of the Year award. The company specialises in marketing, PR, social media, design and search engine optimisation.

On her new role, Jodie said: “I was overjoyed when offered a position at ramarketing. I am passionate about PR and communication and love the North East so to be able to have a secured an exciting role at a great local company is fantastic.

“The role is so diverse and no two days are ever the same. The flexibility of working remotely suits my lifestyle perfectly. I really believe ramarketing is a company going places so I cannot wait to play my part in its business growth.”

The agency which specialises in both B2B and B2C public relations and marketing now has around 16 clients in its portfolio across many industries including pharmaceutical, healthcare, technology, property and interiors.
