Kartfight gives UK companies the green light to battle it out on Europe’s best indoor kart track

Kartfight is challenging companies to take to the track to compete against each other in high-powered go-karts in a unique team building and networking experience.

Over 100 companies from seven different industry sectors including:, estate agencies, tech, marcomms, recruitment, finance, law and management consultancies will take part, attempting to beat last year’s winner, Facebook.

Kartfight found in recent research that 1 in 5 employees agree that the opportunity to bond outside of work improves their working relationships. Additionally the study, which was commissioned by event partners TeamSport Indoor Karting, also found one in ten workers believed these events help to improve their communication skills with managers.

Kartfight brings companies and employees together, raising their profile between competitors with a healthy dose of competition.

Every company can have 20 fans to cheer on their four drivers. Each team will take turns in high-powered go-karts around one of Europe’s best indoor tracks in an attempt to be crowned the champion.

Founder of Mind Candy, Michael Acton Smith whose company participated last year said: “When you work in a company you don’t often get to show how passionate you are – putting on face paint, dancing on the catwalk, screaming for your team-mates – and I think that’s really valuable.”

Kartfight held its first event in 2015, which pitted tech giants against start-ups. Over the course of the evening 64 drivers and over 250 supporters participated in the event.

Will Tew, co-founder of Kartfight, said: “In 2015 it was far beyond what you might consider a normal networking event, energy filled the venue and people really got involved. We can’t wait to see who will be able to challenge Facebook for the top spot on the podium in 2016.”

The event costs £1795 and will run from 12th-21st October 2016. Upgrades are available including custom race suits, helmets and t-shirts, which the companies will be able to keep.
