Movers and Groovers : bigdog fetches new senior hires

Full-service, integrated marketing agency bigdog’s Norwich office has made nine new hires, following a successful quarter of new client projects and wins. The hires will grow the Norwich creative team by 30%.

Michael Howes joins as creative director, following an extensive period freelancing at bigdog. Drawing on his rich experience working on agency accounts including Smirnoff, Stella Artois, Sky and SAP, he will be responsible for the day to day running of the department, leading a team of 30 on and offline creatives.

Michael is joined by new senior copywriter Catherine Wells, who arrives from MRM Meteorite, and new senior art director, Emma Bristow, who joins from integrated agency Live & Breathe. The pair are being reunited as a team, having previously worked together at spread betting provider, IG.

Other significant recent new hires include designers Myles Hunt and Andy Copland, copywriters Robert Perry and Deborah Clavis, senior creative artworker Andrew Reynolds, and art director Tom Street.

Cordell Burke, Creative Managing Partner at bigdog Agency, said: “Over the past few months, we’ve seen an increased volume of work and opportunities from our clients. This has enabled us to hire some exciting creative talent to take our offering to the next level. Each recruit is a welcome addition to the agency and we’re already reaping the benefits of their presence – I’m thrilled to have them on board.”
