Cleaning Up with Vax – brand appoints bigdog as lead creative agency

Iconic household brand Vax has appointed full-service, integrated advertising and marketing agency, bigdog, as its lead creative agency, following a competitive two-way pitch.

It is the first agency appointment made by Vax Marketing Director Jon Collings, since he joined the brand in September 2017. The contract will see the team at bigdog, led by Associate Director Harman Randhawa, support Vax as it seeks to grow the category and gain market share.

The agency will work closely with Collings going forward, as he takes steps to develop Vax following his five-year stint at Gtech, where he helped grow the business to a £100m turnover. [more…]

Millennials “would spend more” if part of a brand’s community

More than half (58%) of consumers aged 25 to 34 say they’d be likely to spend more money on a brand’s products and services if they were part of its community, according to research from Dialogue, the content agency.

This is far higher than the average across all age groups, which was still a creditable 40%, pointing to a tangible return on investment through fostering brand communities across the board. However, millennials consistently come out as the age group that is most committed to these communities. Some 50% also agree that they are more likely to stick with a brand than switch to competitors if they are part of a brand’s community. [more…]
