Mobile Retailing Conference from Retail Events, Wednesday 11th June 2008, Cavendish Conference Centre, London

..There is a distinct possibility that the Multi-Channel retail landscape is about to enter one of the largest phases of change since the launch of the Web. Mobile Retailing is on the horizon, and already there are signs that the m-commerce market is about to move from being mobile content/entertainment related only, (such as ringtones), to mainstream retail products and services.

There are good reasons to be excited. Unlike any other channel, mobile will allow retailers to get closer to the end-user than ever before, in their hand in fact, and present to them with a range of products and services ideally suited for that particular person.

Get an inside track to Mobile Retailing  from Retail Events.. a one day event that lifts the lid on mobile and will help retailers understand how the mobile channel is going to impact on the way they conduct transactions and promote their brands and services to the consumer. Sales promotions can have expensive consequences, as Aer Lingus has become the latest to discover...

Aer Lingus is in serious hot water after apparently reneging on an online offer. The promotion was supposed to be a ‘two for one’ sale on business-class seats, but thanks to some kind of technical gremlin, some of the tickets went on sale separately at a knock-down €5. Over 100 sharp-eyed punters immediately snapped up these tickets – but Aer Lingus is now refusing to honour their claims.

Turn it into a PR opportunity.
