Via a great article...Interactive's most offensive campaigns

Kirsten"Lately, it seems that brands will do anything and everything in their power to get your attention. Some have even resorted to bait-and-switch tactics, as well as outright lies, in order to lure you into the sales funnel.

I find these tactics offensive, and they make a brand look desperate. There is nothing fashionable about desperation, which is why I find it ironic that Australian fashion designer Witchery and its agency, Naked Communications, decided to pull the following stunt."

Identifying which aspects of your brand experience and image engage people as brand delighters, and which ones detract, is clearly important in brand planning and creative thought.

In ever-changing marketplaces, this covers the introduction of new ideas and brand stretches too - as Tropicana recently discovered with their
Pure Premium Orange Juice re-launch in the US, their desired natural fruit goodness message was not well received in-market by some adorers who complained about the “bargain brand” refresh.

The Damned United: a big 'ead and shoulders above the opposition

Damned by name, but not by nature, the premiere of the controversial film The Damned United was hotly anticipated in London's West End last night.

Though the family of Brian Clough did not attend the red carpet event in protest at the portrayal of Clough in David Peace's 2006 novel, the film's producers were keen to stress that their adaptation balances the legendary football manager's "dark side" with his infamous wit and flair.

Scrummie

Rugby's equivalent of a footballer's WAG

Felicia Field Hall

Yes, she's done some modelling.

Yes, she is very easy on the red-blooded male's eye. Yes, she treads her fair share of red carpet. And yes, she is dating a famous sportsman.

But mention the 'W' word and Felicia Field-Hall's good looks might just be spoiled by the slightest hint of a frown.

The girlfriend of England's James Haskell is, if you want to use the phrase, a Scrummie - the tabloids' term for anyone on the arm of a rugby player - the oval ball equivalent of the WAGs.
