The UK digital marketing industry needs to revise how it markets itself  if it is to make the most of the growing appetite for UK business investment in online and digital marketing according to independent research* commissioned ahead of this year's ad:tech London.

Research of over 900 visitors to last year's show reveals that nearly half of respondents (48 per cent) expected to assign over thirty percent of their budget to digital marketing over the next twelve months, an increase of nine per cent since last year.

The biggest reason for this level of investment was the fact that over two thirds of respondents (62 per cent) believed online marketing delivered greater ROI than offline marketing channels.

We were naturally prepared to publish some trip impressions, restaurant and hotel reviews, but we’ll have to postpone the travel reviews for a while, and discuss the ‘promiscuous’ video instead.

The video is a commercial realized by ad agency Grey for the official Danish tourist organization Visit Denmark.

Mobile marketing will grow to over $24 billion worldwide in 2013

Marketers are expected to increase investment in mobile this year, as brands continue to recognise mobile as an integrated part of their marketing strategy, according to research from organisers of this year's ad:tech London 2009.

Ahead of this year's show, research was conducted amongst over 1,000 visitors of last year's event, which revealed that investment in mobile marketing was expected to more than double this year, with 37% of marketers claiming it would be an area of investment.

as the recession deepened, according to an industry report released Thursday, although longtime staples Coca-Cola and IBM retained their spots as the world's two most valuable brands.

This is the first time the combined value of the world's top 100 brands as ranked by Interbrand, a branding agency, has fallen in the 10 years Interbrand has assessed them.
