The Institute of Data & Marketing’s (IDM) latest graduation results show that professionals in the data and marketing industry continue to thrive despite significant change in recent years.

From the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and uncertainty around Brexit, to the wealth of new technologies available and increasing organisational responsibilities of the marketing function, the world in which the next generation of marketers will work is constantly evolving.

Britain’s favourite logo is Coca-Cola’s, according to a new poll. The iconic red and white symbol was first revealed in the late 1800s and has remained largely unchanged ever since.

It’s so popular the logo can commonly be found on fashionable clothing items, homeware and other desirables - while vintage items featuring the logo can sell for thousands of pounds. Second spot was secured by US fast-food chain, McDonald’s - ahead of Disney’s Mickey Mouse silhouette logo in third and Cadbury’s logo in fourth.

A new film is out this year called ‘The Sketchbook’ featuring a large number of original sketches that have been made into a film about a WW1 soldier and his son who goes in search of him using Simple Animation as its Unique Selling Point (USP).

Disney UK and MBNA have collaborated to transform an MBNA Thames Clippers catamaran into a Polynesian Wayfinder vessel to celebrate the launch of Disney’s “Moana,” its latest animated film, featuring an adventurous and seafaring young heroine.

In the film, which hits UK cinemas on Friday 2 December, main character Moana is inspired by her grandmother’s stories, in which she is encouraged to leave the safety and security of her island and go on a daring journey to save her people.

Playbuzz secures $15M in strategic funding from Saban Ventures and Disney

Existing investors 83North, Carmel Ventures and FirstTime Ventures also participated in the investment round.

A group of talented child performers who specialise in covers of musical theatre songs are taking YouTube by storm, and their Disney medley mashup video has today hit the 2 million view mark.

Twenty-three singers from Spirit Young Performers' Company perform the medley, which features songs from films such as The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, High School Musical and Frozen and it has proved hugely popular with the international fanbase of this London weekend stage school.
