New Research : Hospitality leads digital transformation of luxury category … Zenith

Luxury advertising is rapidly shifting towards digital media, led by luxury hospitality brands. 50% of luxury hospitality advertising will be digital this year, up from 47% in 2017, according to Zenith’s Luxury Advertising Expenditure Forecasts 2018, published today.

Across all luxury brands, 33% of advertising will be digital this year, up from 30% in 2017.

ICC Wales confirms H&C EXPO as its inaugural event in 2019

The International Convention Centre Wales at the Celtic Manor Resort has confirmed the first ever event to take place at the new venue, two years ahead of its opening in 2019. Celtic Manor will play host to the Hospitality & Catering EXPO in July 2018 and 2019, the latter marking the inauguration of ICC Wales.

H&C EXPO will be a new two-day conference and exhibition bringing industry professionals and suppliers together from all over the UK. The show will provide exhibitions stands, masterclasses, product demonstrations and roundtables as well as an innovative hosted buyer programme. [more…]

UK hospitality industry in favour of Brexit : download survey results and comments

A survey of operators in the UK hospitality industry has found that 49% plan to vote leave in next week’s EU Referendum, whilst 43% plan to vote remain and 7% are still undecided. 1% did not indicate.

The survey by RPBi, the hospitality data and news specialist, found that the majority of recipients – whether voting to leave or to remain – believe a leave vote would have a ‘negative impact on the economy’.

The B2B survey, which was conducted from 10-15 June 2016, received 1,915 responses from operators across all sectors of hospitality.
