Last week’s smartphone survey from mobile shopping app firm Shopitize (www.shopitize.com) asked UK app shoppers “what’s your favourite pizza?”

This is a topic everyone has an opinion on, whether you are a frequent pizza connoisseur or a health and fitness fanatic who only has a slice-or-two behind closed doors when no one is looking. It’s a question that divides the nation, causes ruptions in every household and even breaks-up some loving relationships. Poll result is out – Shopitize community’s favourite fruit is bananas

Bananas remain top of the tree when it comes to the UK’s favourite fruit, according to the latest shopping insights provided by Shopitize.

In its July insights survey, one of the questions Shopitize asked shoppers using its app was ‘what is your favourite fruit?’

Over 2,600 unique responses show that the banana has once again come out on top. According to these Shopitize app users, 26% say the banana is their favourite fruit, with 23% backing the apple, 19% saying grapes, 11% oranges and 7% pears. [more…]

Asda has been voted best UK supermarket for value and quality, according to a survey by shopping rewards App Shopitize.

As for value, 46% of supermarket shoppers said ASDA was the best, with Tesco taking 26% of the poll, Morrison's 14%, Sainsbury's 8% and Waitrose came last with only 6% of the vote.

However, in the quality stakes Waitrose's fortunes reversed with 29% of shoppers placing it above it rivals. Next best was Sainsbury's with 23% of the vote, then Asda with 20%, Tesco with 17% and Morrison's finished bottom with 11%. [more…]
