Lane Crawford, the iconic, luxury department store today begins work with leading global CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) network Rakuten LinkShare to engage with new customers on its global site, lanecrawford.com. With 163 years in Hong Kong and China, Lane Crawford is expanding its footprint to the international online shopping community in the UK, the US and Australia.

Lane Crawford is working with trusted advisors at CPA network Rakuten LinkShare to develop digital content and incentives designed to attract new customers to the international multi-currency shopping site. First there were “save-able” banner ads — now there are pinnable ones

Gucci unveiled this week a banner ad with a small “Pin it” button on the bottom left-hand corner. The ad is part of Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2012 digital campaign, and will run on five sites: WSJ.comPolyvoreStyle.comLifestyle Mirror andNew York Magazine‘s fashion blog The Cut, a Gucci spokesperson wrote in an e-mail to Mashable.

Clicking “Pin it” will bring up two images to share onPinterest: A full-size image of the ad, and a product shot of the shoes it features . On Pinterest, both pins link directly to it.
