Very.co.uk captures ‘getting ready’ moment with makeover bus tour campaign

Online fashion and beauty retailer Very.co.uk has launched the £600,000 Very Beauty Bus tour campaign, #VeryBeautyTour which has been designed, planned and executed by Posterscope, PSLive, Vizeum and Liveposter. The tour visits Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham over the next two weeks, offering mini-makeovers in a transparent, branded bus to help local residents capture and share their ‘getting ready’ moments.

It combines both experiential marketing and digital out-of-home (DOOH) so consumers can share their post-makeover pictures to DOOH screens. [more…]

Mothercare [IRDX RMOC] has appointed internet retailing veteran Mark Newton-Jones as its chief executive.

The appointment, which starts from July 17, follows Newton-Jones’ four-month interim stint in the role leading the maternity-to-nursery-equipment provider.

Mark Newton-Jones is a confirmed keynote speaker at the Internet Retailing Conference 2014 in October 16. Keynote speakers at the event are all individuals who “have led transformation within their business as their product sector or the retail landscape have evolved”.

Martin Gill, a Principle Analyst in eBusiness and Channel Strategy, believes changes in mainstream consumer behaviour cannot be ignored by retailers, and goes as far as to say that those who do not go digital, are closed for business.  Martin’s talk happens at 11.20pm in Stream 1 at the Internet Retailing Conference 9th October at the Novotel, Hammersmith, London

Martin’s research at Forrester has demonstrated that 53% of online shoppers are already adopting click and collect and safely predicts that by 2016 14% of UK retail will be sold online.
