Mobikats Enterprise – Looking to raise up to £3m via a minority stake sale to beef its sales and development team

Mobikats Enterprise, a UK­ based developer of iBeacons hardware and app solutions, is looking to raise up to  £3m via a minority stake sale to beef its sales and development team, CEO Phillip Hunt said.

Mobikats Enterprise recently hired Whoosh PR and is considering appointing a financial adviser for the fundraising, which is expected to start in mid­February once it finalises its business plan.

CFO and 15%­ stake shareholder, Peter Morgan, will meantime oversee the fundraising process. Hunt and CTO John Haselden own a 42.5% stake each, the CEO said.

Money-conscious telecom provider Direct Save Telecom (www.directsavetelecom.co.uk) has extended its contract with Whoosh PR – citing the excellent coverage, in particular in the national press, as the main reason for continuing the fruitful PR partnership.

Direct Save Telecom launched its £1.95 unlimited broadband deal last week, making it the best priced telco in the UK. I’d appreciate your thoughts on the following:

Coupons are for smartphones, trees in forests. With the evolution of smartphones, calls for simpler packaging, and all the green stuff, it seems reasonable to say that paper coupons are likely to become extinct. I suppose paper coupons did become disruptive when they first came to light, so they’re just going digital.
