George Clooney’s Elisabetta – “teamed up with PETA for a second time to help promote animal welfare on hot days” (video)

Model Elisabetta Canalis, best known for her former relationship with George Clooney, has teamed up with PETA for a second time to help promote animal welfare on hot days.
In a new video, the 33-year-old acts out what it’s like for a dog to be trapped in an overheating car. At the end, after collapsing in the front seat, the clip concludes with: “Dogs can suffer from heatstroke and die in a matter of minutes when left in a car on a warm day. In the summer, leave your dog at home.”
“It’s very important if you see a dog unattended inside a car that you don’t leave the situation,” says Canalis in an exclusive interview. “If it’s too hot for us, it’s definitely too hot for our dogs.”
PETA says that even on a relatively mild summer day, temperatures inside a sealed car can quickly climb to life-threatening levels.
Back in May of 2011, Canalis stripped down to participate in one of PETA’s famous “I’d Rather Go Naked” anti-fur campaigns.
“I decided to go nude because I think that nudity always creates a big reaction,” she told PETA. “That is what is required to keep people’s attention on such a brutal practice …. These poor animals are electrocuted, skinned alive, drowned, and bludgeoned just for the sake of fashion.”
