TrekAmerica and Grand American Adventures Appoints Hills Balfour

The UK’s leading North American adventure specialist, TrekAmerica and Grand American Adventures, has appointed Hills Balfour to lead its public relations strategy for TrekAmerica’s 40th birthday celebrations, along with TrekAmerica’s and Grand American Adventures 2013 brochure launches.

Experts in the implementation of successful PR campaigns for a number of tour operators, Hills Balfour has been tasked with increasing media awareness of TrekAmerica’s 40th anniversary, which it is celebrating this year. This will include an interactive social media campaign. Hills Balfour will also provide media support for the launch of TrekAmerica’s 2013 brochures with an overarching aim to grow awareness of the brand ensuring both new and repeat customer enquiries and bookings.

TrekAmerica has been leading small group adventure tours to North America since 1972, with this year being a milestone for the company which operates more than 50 tours, aimed at 18 to 38 year olds. It is this style of travelling that led TrekAmerica to be voted the ‘Best Tour Operator to the USA’ for the second year running at the prestigious British Travel Awards in 2011.

Hills Balfour will also be working with Grand American Adventures, TrekAmerica’s sister company, which offers the same small, flexible groups with no age limits. The brochure launch will form a key part of the public relations strategy as it showcases the best the company has to offer including an expanding range of walking-focused holidays.
