Hardys Wine voted a Consumer Superbrand 2014

–        Respected annual Consumer Superbrands® list features Hardys Wine among the UK’s strongest consumer brands –

Hardys Wine has been awarded Consumer Superbrand status for 2014 @HardysWineUK, following the most recent evaluation of the long-running annual survey, which has been identifying the UK’s leading brands since 1995. The process was managed by The Centre for Brand Analysis (TCBA) and questioned 3,000 UK consumers, who assessed over 1,500 brands. Consumers judged the brands on three key criteria: quality, reliability and distinction.

Hardys is the top selling wine in the UK, and in 2013 launched a major revitalisation programme including brand new packaging across the range and the launch of new campaign – Five Generations of Devotion, which included a outdoor, press and digital campaign. This year Hardys is also implementing a campaign to champion the revival of Chardonnay, with a pop-up wine bar experience to celebrate International Chardonnay Day on May 23rd, as well as leading the way in digital with  social content, videos, Vines, and an Instagram initiative at the heart of the activity. In 2014 Hardys is embarking on a three year sponsorship deal as the Official Wine Partner of England Cricket.

Stephen Cheliotis, Chief Executive of TCBA and Chairman of the Consumer Superbrands Council said: “It is a huge achievement for Hardys to be deemed a Superbrand by the Great British public. This status has reaffirmed the brand’s positive reputation throughout Britain and places it among the leading brands operating in the country. It’s a fantastic accolade that allows the brand to start 2014 in a positive and confident mood.”
