A serious PR problem : “KFC Stop Trashing My Home”

Greenpeace activists have scaled the headquarters of the world’s largest fast food company (1) and deployed a giant banner depicting a Sumatran tiger on the front pillars of the iconic KFC building. The banner read: ‘KFC Stop Trashing My Home’.

New £7.5 million 360⁰ campaign drives consumer interest in Smart TV / Samsung

Samsung Electronics Co. UK Ltd,  has revealed its new marketing campaign for its 2012 range of Smart TVs. The £7.5 million campaign, which includes TV, Print, PR and Digital, builds on the success of last year’s hugely successful Smart TV campaign that supported Samsung’s most awarded TV range[1] and number one market position for TV overall.

Gmail update to encourage Google+ take up? / Red Rocket Media

Chris Taylor of Red Rocket Media writes ...Google has craftily updated its email platform Gmail, introducing a host of integrated features designed to draw attention to its Google+ social network.

Cnet.com reports that there are two major tweaks this week; both of which designed to show off a user’s calling card on the Google+ network.

Food – it seems- has become the cause of a global epidemic that we all seem to be casually ignoring. The marketing of junk to kids, the rewarding of junk as a treat and or ignorance as to how this crap affects us is alarming.

But the debates surrounding the issues are complex. We don’t have enough of an understanding of them to offer an educated alternative in this forum, but what we do feel however is that money and greed seems to be put before people in countries around the world struggling with this ‘problem’. via Cherryflava
