Movers and Groovers : Infectious Media hires new data science & analytics chief to drive real-time advertising

Infectious Media, the real-time advertising specialist, has appointed Dr Roy Rosemarin to the newly created role of Head of Analytics and Data Science.

Dr Rosemarin will report to the COO and be responsible for the strategic development of advanced machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques to drive the efficiency of the company’s proprietary bidding technology. He will also lead a cross-functional team tasked with expanding client insight.

Dr Rosemarin joins from the finance sector where he held various roles within the data science field. His ad tech experience stems from time spent at Adfonic, where he designed a system for buying adverts based on predictions of user behaviour and yield management strategies. [more…]

Movers & Groovers : Display specialist Mediasyndicator hires industry veterans Graeme Tottle and Damian Cassidy

Mediasyndicator, the umbrella to vertical display specialists Sportsyndicator, Techsyndicator and Autosyndicator, today announced two appointments to its management team to support the company’s on-going growth in the UK display marketing industry.

Graeme Tottle joins Mediasyndicator as the business’s new Commercial Director and will oversee the sales teams in each vertical business unit, and drive focus while coordinating the overall relationship with agencies and servicing its online publisher clients. Tottle arrives at Mediasyndicator with significant credentials in the industry, most recently as Sales Director for digital specialists Ad2One, where he lead eBay’s ad sales to a period of record commercial success.

Data from Adfonic’s Global AdMetrics Report Q3 2012 has shown Apple mobile devices are delivering more impressions for advertisers than similar Samsung hardware

Adfonic  today releases its Global AdMetrics Report for Q3 2012, showing that while Apple and Samsung both increased their share of ad impressions globally, Apple widened its lead over Samsung.

This is despite the increasing popularity of new Samsung devices during Q3 such as the Galaxy S3, which reached Adfonic’s global top ten mobile devices by share of ad impressions, while Apple’s iPhone 5, released towards the end of the quarter, had yet to impact on Adfonic’s mobile advertising platform. The MMA in collaboration with ad:tech has confirmed a dedicated speaker programme of  industry leaders for the Mobile and Social theatre, which will feature the likes of MMA members Mojiva, MobPartner and InMobi

With a 53 per cent growth in mobile marketing representation at ad:tech in the last two years, the MMA pavilion has become an important part of the show as it supports MMA member visibility. In addition, the event will feature a dedicated ‘Mobile and Social’ speaker programme to help attendees understand what successful mobile marketing campaigns should look like.
