August 2013 mobile stats are now available for download.

22.3% of all sales were through mobile devices (inc tablets) – up from 20.6% in July

  • 8.4% of sales if we strip out tablets – down from 8.6% in July
  • 19.8% of traffic came through mobile – up from 17.6% in July
  • 12.1% if tablet traffic is stripped out – up from 11.2% in July
  • Mobile traffic is converting at 2.9% - down from 3.1% in July

One of the most rapidly evolving phenomenon’s in how consumers are accessing information digitally is the devices they’re turning to in order to access their emails.

In fact, 41% of emails are currently viewed on a mobile device. With this figure widely expected to surpass desktop by the end of this year, there are clear opportunities and threats for advertisers in how they approach mobile email opportunities in the performance channel.

    Secret Escapes Case Study – Results showed a 30% average conversion on data capture plus growth of 1000% / Affiliate Window

    Secret Escapes offers members up to 70% off luxury breaks in the UK and abroad. The brand launched its first Affiliate network lead generation campaign with Affiliate Window in September 2011.

    The campaign was set up to facilitate significant growth of new members registering to receive the newsletter. With some direct partnerships already in place, the affiliate activity was designed to complement this and work as a standalone lead source.

    Traffic is directed to a ‘join now’ facility that only allows unique email addresses to bypass. By asking solely for an email address, the sign-up process is fast and enables costs to be kept to a minimum.
