Nielsen launches Everyday Analytics

Today, Nielsen announces the launch of Everyday Analytics in the UK and a number of other European countries (Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain).

This new suite of analytics enables fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturers to keep up with the constantly changing, daily conditions of today’s fragmented marketplace. By reducing the time, cost and resource demands of traditional analytics, coupled with simple and intuitive tools, the new offering will make sophisticated analytics more accessible for everyday decisions across all FMCG growth drivers, including price and promotion, advertising and innovation.

According to a new study led by a company specialising in analytics, consumer insights and market research; over a quarter of UK businesses carry out no market research whatsoever. Furthermore, it was found that 62% of these companies think their audiences are too ‘disengaged’ and ’transient' to effectively help them devise future plans.

Women lead the charge over last-minute men in Easter shopping

Bing Ads today releases insights into online Easter shopping behaviour, revealing almost three quarters (69%) of searches will be made by females as they lead the charge in planning family fun this Easter.

Based on data from last year, Bing Ads expect 60 per cent of all Easter related retail searches to be made from a mobile device, continuing trends seen on other key retail shopping days so far this year such as Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.
