WPP’s global brand strategy and design agency, Brand Union today announces an extensive reorganisation of its Asia Pacific operations and management team. The new model will offer prospects and current Brand Union clients the ability to grow across the Asian market.

As part of this restructure Brand Union will be appointing Monica Lee (currently CEO, North Asia) and Graham Hitchmough (currently CEO, South and Southeast Asia) to the roles of Chairman and CEO respectively for the region.

Lee and Hitchmough will be supported by a refreshed regional management team comprising of Ambrish Chaudhry, Head of Strategy; Dan Ellis, Head of Design; and Po Kay Lee who will be assuming the newly created position of Head of Experience. [more…]

Brand Union, WPP’s global brand agency, has today announced its appointment by leading luxury hotel group, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, to create the new brand and integrated launch campaign for the iconic Le Touessrok resort in Mauritius, following a competitive pitch.

The agency will be responsible for uniting the unique Le Touessrok heritage with the renowned Shangri-La master brand qualities, following the takeover of the resort by Shangri-La earlier this year.

Brand Union will seek to challenge the existing codes of luxury travel adopting a brand-led communications strategy, looking beyond the launch to ensure the brand resonates across every facet of the resort, right through to the guest experience at the hotel.

Brand Union and architects BDG, which designed the offices at 6 Brewhouse Yard, were awarded the Best Fit-Out of Workplace London & South East Award, which recognises the highest quality of work environments.

Ellwood joins the global agency after heading up his own management consultancy, Senate, for the last three years. Prior to this, he held the position of Head of Consulting at Interbrand.
