As the entry deadline looms for a set of awards I’m involved in that celebrate the best in cross-border content marketing, I can’t help but ponder on one thing: when we know how powerful content marketing can be, why isn’t it at the forefront more?  When we know it cuts through clutter, adds value to people’s lives, builds trust and relevance, why don’t we do more of it?

“Sensodyne awarded the prestigious Grand Prix prize” / The Marketing Society Excellence Awards

Last night at The Marketing Society Excellence Awards at the HAC, London, Sensodyne was awarded the prestigious Grand Prix prize and Alistair Macrow of McDonald’s was crowned the 2016 Marketing Society Marketing Leader of the Year in association with Campaign.

Over 500 members, guests and friends gathered to celebrate marketing in all its creative brilliance and to find out who this years’ much anticipated winners were. The judges, led by Ronan Dunne, CEO of O2, chose Sensodyne as the overall winner of the Grand Prix.

The UK public is hungry for health content, and is expecting food, drink and retail brands to help combat serious national issues such as obesity by providing practical content, according to the latest ‘Health and the High Street’ report from content marketing platform NewsCred. The NewsCred platform allows brands to run their own newsrooms by licensing existing content from publishers, as well as allowing brands to hire freelance journalists to create original content.
