Hobbs, LK Bennett and Whistles could be feeling nervous this weekend - as Sainsbury's prepares to launch its new range of women's clothing early next week.

The supermarket group named those three high-end brands in particular as it threw down the gauntlet in the battle to win more customers with its new collection.

"The quality and styling of the collection will rival Hobbs, L.K. Bennett and Whistles but with a key difference – significantly lower prices that start at £12 rising to £50 for a wool blend wrap coat," the retailer said.The new range will include a wool wrap coat, priced at £50

Return of the running bunny: Duracell returns to running in 2016 to power the great run series

Duracell has today announced it is an Official Partner of the 2016 Great Run Series, as part of a new campaign to help runners ‘Unlock the Power Within’.

Duracell is officially powering the 12 race series that sees 180,000 runners compete annually across the UK. The Series includes marquee events such as the Great Manchester Run, the Great Newham London Run - which concludes with a lap inside the Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park - and the UK’s biggest running event, the world famous Great North Run.

The partnership will include the branding of pace makers in the colours of the iconic Duracell Bunny at each race to champion their role in helping runners go for longer.

Duracell will become an official Tournament Provider for Rugby World Cup 2015

Duracell, has announced it will become an official Tournament Provider for Rugby World Cup 2015, which kicks off in England on September 18 later this year.

The deal will include use of Rugby World Cup 2015 marks, use of past and present Rugby World Cup footage and tickets to matches including the Rugby World Cup 2015 Final. Duracell will also provide a range of its batteries to support the tournament’s delivery from 18 September to 31 October, 2015. [more…]

For the first time in the history of Interbrand’s Best Global Brands report, there is a new #1 brand: Apple. Interbrand, the world’s leading brand consultancy, publishes Best Global Brands on an annual basis, identifying and examining the top 100 most valuable global brands.
With Apple claiming the top position this year, Google jumps to #2 and Coca-Cola, the brand that held the #1 position for 13 consecutive years, moves to #3. This year, the total value of all 100 Best Global Brands is USD $1.5 trillion -- an 8.4 percent record increase over the total value of the 100 Best Global Brands in 2012.
