There are certain situations in which we feel confident, and others that we feel less confident, more vulnerable and nervous. Public speaking is a large part of a lot of our jobs.

Whether it is speaking to 10 colleagues or clients in a meeting, to over 100 people at a conference or event. But is public speaking something we feel confident in?

A new survey from public speaking experts Speakers Corner has revealed that more men feel nervous about public speaking than women (32% of men as opposed to 28% of women).

Over two thirds of global consumers now book travel exclusively using the Internet

The latest research from MarkMonitor® reveals that 68% of consumers globally now exclusively book their travel online.  However, seven out of every 100 respondents surveyed ended up with plans not in line with their expectations, highlighting a definite need for increased education when booking online.

The research, conducted by a leading market research company Opinium, analysed the online behaviour of consumers around booking travel online, including bargain hunting for seasonal goods and attitudes towards piracy. Opinium surveyed 3,257 consumers across eight countries, including the U.K., U.S., Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, Spain and the Netherlands. [more…]

The Japanese word ‘emoji’ is a composite of ‘picture’ (e) and ‘character’ (moji). According to the post, companies across the world are starting to grasp the importance of emojis when it comes to connecting with teenagers.
