UK adtech platform continues global expansion with investment from TA Associates / Flashtalking

London-headquartered ad serving platform Flashtalking has this week announced investment from TA Associates, a leading global growth equity firm. Terms of the investment were not disclosed.

The investment will allow the ad technology company to continue growth across Europe and North America and expand its footprint into new territories.

Figleaves created a video with model Candice Bucher to show off their new Just Peachy Trellis campaign.

Viral Seeding conducted blogger outreach over a period of 2 weeks encouraging bloggers and web editors to embed the video content and share through social media. Objective: The objective of seeding was to achieve coverage and embedding of the video on women’s lifestyle, fashion, men’s lifestyle, marketing, entertainment, London, viral and web culture websites. Results: Over 27 pieces of coverage, 15k+ reached, 10k+ reached through twitter coverage and 30k+ views added to the video content. 


Red Bull Media House – Its print magazine titles are now available in e-paper format

Red Bull Media House has announced that all of its print magazine titles are now additionally available in e-paper format.

Readers everywhere can access all 12 national editions of The Red Bulletin, as well as Terra Mater (in German and English) and German-language magazines through iTunes and Google Play. Additional digital distribution outlets, such as the digital newsstand Zinio, will continue to be added to the line-up.

The new format is a natural extension of the multi-platform approach embraced by Red Bull Media House. With the e-paper app, readers can download single issues as well as full subscriptions and enjoy advantages such as off-line availability, both portrait and landscape format, perfect readability, zoom functionality, the convenience of navigation through thumbnails and even a bookmark feature.


St Ives Group acquires search and digital agency Branded3

St Ives Group have announced the acquisition of leading search and digital agency Branded3 from co-founders Vin Chinnaraja and Patrick Altoft.

The acquisition of Branded3 is a continuation of St Ives’ strategy to create a complementary range of digital and marketing services that will enable the Group to add further value to existing and new clients and significantly strengthen its marketing services portfolio.

Branded3 has around 50 staff, with offices in central London and Leeds, and a strong B2C and B2B client base across a range of vertical sectors that covers entertainment, finance and travel and includes clients such as Vue Cinemas and City Index.


Nielsen: Telecoms and FMCG brands increase ad spend most in 2012

While global advertising spending increased overall in 2012, not all sectors reaped the benefits. The telecommunications, FMCG and media sectors saw the biggest increases, earning year-over-year jumps of 7, 6.8 and 5.8 percent, according to Nielsen’s quarterly Global AdView Pulse report. Comparatively, former top performers like healthcare and durables saw reduced spending for the year.
