Mastek research reveals top online retailers fall short on mobile services

Reading, U.K. – 25th June 2013Mastek, the global IT solutions provider for the retail sector, today announced the results of a research project analysing how the top 50 online retailers in the UK are using mobile as part of a multi-channel approach. EasyInsites announced today that it has promoted Misha Tsvelik to Research Operations Director.  Misha has been with EasyInsites from close to the beginning, as the company was founded in March 2009 and Misha joined in August that same year.

Research finds 55 per cent of consumers willing to opt-in to mobile marketing from trusted brands

Consumer appetite for mobile marketing outstrips ability of brands to exploit Research into UK consumers has revealed that 45 per cent of consumers are willing to accept branded communications via the mobile channel if delivered according to their opt-in terms – a figure that rises to 55 per cent if the company is perceived as a ‘trusted’ brand.

The research, commissioned by Velti, found that a UK consumer will sign up to receive communications from on average just three companies, making first-mover advantage critically important for brands hoping to exploit this lucrative mobile marketing channel.
