Made.com launches new “Live Unboxed” brand platform / Fabula

Made.com, the furniture retailer, has launched a new brand platform and campaign seeking to upturn lifestyle category clichés and show how its customers really live.

The new “Live Unboxed” platform is the first work for the brand by Fabula and initially launches with a campaign spanning print, online and social media across the brand’s Instagram and Facebook channels.

The creative executions show scenes in the home played out in unexpected ways. One shows a party taking place in a living room furnished with Made.com pieces, with the words: “I don’t stay in. I stay up.” Another shows two women playing table tennis on a Made.com dining table with the line: “I don’t serve. I play.”

Tech City picks first 25 firms for help to grow

Having been launched in April 2013 by chancellor George Osborne and Joanna Shields, CEO of Tech City UK, the Future Fifty initiative has announced its first list of companies.

The programme, which is looking to connect high-growth businesses with tools needed to secure an initial public offering (IPO), is drawing on companies in the financial services, leisure and consumer goods spaces.

The first 25 companies have been named, including: cloud content service Huddle;online fashion brand and shopping site Farfetchfurniture retailer MADE.compeer-to-peer lender Zopa and travel search company Skyscanner.

Excitement is mounting as the first round of voting in the Internet Retailing Awards reaches its conclusion with the long-awaited publication of the retail names who have been commended in the awards.

Commended retailers range from long-established traditional high street retailers who are adapting successfully to the demands of multichannel, such as M&S and John Lewis, and online etailers, such as Net-a-Porter, Amazon and Asos, who have built strong reputations over the last decade, to names that have more recently emerged, such as Wiggle and Zalando.
