According to research released today by digital media agency, equimedia, 91% of the brand websites handpicked by Mums have poor mobile website speeds.
The digital media specialists looked at mobile website download speeds based on Babycentre’s Welcome To Mums 2017 list of recommended baby products, and discovered that only two of the top listed brands achieved a ‘good’ rating when it came to mobile download speeds.
Everyday Mums are Powerful Allies for Brands
- Today’s mums account for a whopping 75% of all household purchasing decisions.
- They’re aged 20 to 50 so we’re talking Millennials and Gen Xs
- They’re into beauty, health, fitness, and much more
- And they have tight-knit networks of friends, from 800 to 2000 plus. Yes, you read that right.
New mums (those with at least one child under 18 months) have higher device ownership across every digital device compared to the general population. They have an especially high rate of smartphone ownership (96%) compared to just 71% of the total population.
They also index particularly high on home entertainment devices such as video game consoles, smart TVs, and streaming media players.
