The consistent decline in ticket sales that cinemas have been experiencing in the past 10 years doesn’t seem to be coming to an end. Due to the cultural momentum in digital ownership, ‘Dinner and a movie’ has either been replaced, with ‘Netflix and chill’ or more social/experiential movie going, such as Secret Cinema and Open Air cinema experiences.

Sainsbury’s Entertainment on Demand has today unveiled a new Music App for iOS and Android, following the relaunch of its music site in January 2016.

With access to over 30 million tracks and 3 million albums, with the Sainsbury’s Entertainment Music App customers can build and curate their own unique playlists both online and offline, downloading tracks from the Sainsbury’s Entertainment on Demand Music site.

Kantar Media partners with Tata Sky on TV Digital Audience Measurement in India

Kantar Media has secured a multi-year audience measurement contract in partnership with Tata Sky, one of India’s fastest growing Direct to Home (DTH) TV providers. The company will measure the behaviour and viewing habits of Tata Sky’s rapidly increasing number of pay TV subscribers.

The service, launching later this year will take full advantage of Kantar Media’s return path data technology – RapidView – to collect complex audience data directly from set top boxes and provide insights into subscriber behaviours not easily captured elsewhere.
