Samsung collaborates with University of Vienna for a new and unique app POWER SLEEP which enables mobile users to donate unused computing power to scientific research while….sleeping

Today, smartphones have evolved to a point where the average computing power is equivalent to that of six PCs produced from the 90s. As a result, new technology methods have been developed to collect and donate small bits of mobile CPU power to a large “supercloud computer” that assists researchers all over the world.

UK online retail mobile traffic and sales boom in the run-up to Christmas - highlights the changing role of the retail website

The IBM Digital Analytics Benchmark revealed that the percentage of traffic to UK retail websites coming from mobile devices is up by over 60 percent, year on year, in October 2013 compared to October 2012. The amount of sales coming from mobile devices has increased by 80 percent.  This trend towards a greater proportion of sales from mobile devices has accelerated over the last two years, rising from almost 25 percent in October 2012 compared to October 2011 (to 80 percent in last year to October).
