We Are Social launches dedicated sports marketing division

Socially-led creative agency We Are Social has today launched We Are Social Sport in the UK, a dedicated team of sports specialists offering an experienced, social-first approach to sports marketing.

It is the first separate division launched by We Are Social in the UK, and has been created in response to continued growth within the sports sector and the increasingly complex social landscape that brands need to navigate.

We Are Social Sport will represent the agency’s existing portfolio of clients within the sector, which includes adidas, DAZN, Playstation and Gatorade among others. The division will also look to expand in three key areas of sports marketing; sponsorships, brands and icons.

For the worldwide pre-reveal of New Twingo, Renault and global social media agency We Are Social launched #UndressNewTwingo, a “strip-tweet” which unveiled Renault’s fresh take on its popular city-car to the press and to the general public.

We Are Social was tasked with creating a social media strategy that would take fresh, modern approach to the official pre-reveal of Renault’s popular city car.

The unconventional campaign, which played on the “spyshots” that usually appear when a new car launches, used disruptive social tactics, which enabled Twitter users to get involved with New Twingo’s big reveal.

John Lewis dominates online conversation surrounding this year’s Christmas ads

13th December 2013 – The John Lewis “Bear and Hare” advert is by far the most talked about Christmas ad of 2013, according to research by global social media agency We Are Social.

We Are Social examined English-language Twitter conversation between 4th November and 9th December, and found the John Lewis advert had 212,000 mentions on Twitter, compared with 38,000 for Sainsbury’s “Christmas in a day” and 37,000 for Marks & Spencer’s “Magic and Sparkle”.

HP Sauce UK is launching a Facebook campaign to support the men’s health charity, Movember

Working with global social media agency, We Are Social, HP Sauce will help raise awareness of the moustache-growing initiative, and encourage its fans to get involved in Movember through four weekly challenges.

Each week in November, HP Sauce will introduce a different task for its fans using a bespoke Facebook app, the HP Sauce Movember Challenge. The challenges include asking fans who have registered to grow a Mo at Movember.com to celebrate their own moustaches by uploading pictures, or organising a ‘Mo Bro’ meet up to compare moustache efforts. Fans can get involved with the activities by uploading photos of themselves completing the challenges.
