VCCP Media has today announced the appointment of Sam Fenton-Elstone in the newly created role of Chief Digital Officer overseeing the digital team and it's integration into the full media agency and partnership​.

Fenton-Elstone honed his skills at digital marketing agency iCrossing, where he rose to the ranks from Paid Search Analyst to Chief Media Officer. During his nine years at the agency he defined best-in-class media offerings for clients including EDF Energy, L’Oreal and Apple.

Research : Nielsen and Sainsbury’s data venture helps FMCGs harness programmatic

Nielsen is partnering with Sainsbury’s and Nectar card owner Aimia's i2c venture to help advertisers see how digital ads impact shopping behaviour.

Nielsen's cloud platform, combining data, analytics and media planning, will provide a better picture for brands on how to blend online and offline shopping behaviours, which are then activated in real-time programmatically.

To show the potential, an example from Carling is cited, showing a 19% sales uplift and a 4.1x ROI directly linked to the venture.

Britain’s ‘Man of the Moment’ and host of the Late Late show, James Corden has teamed up with McDonald’s UK to put his very own Karaoke skills to use, joining people from all over the UK in singing the Wizzard classic ‘I wish it could be Christmas everyday’ during their Christmas journeys.

The unique one off advert will air during the break of one of the most popular programmes on Christmas Day – Coronation Street.
