The charismatic host told a contestant they'd correctly answered a question - but Jeremy was shocked when the computer said it was incorrect - and that the contestant had lost £15,000.

Lancashire shoe firm’s women’s shoe ad banned

A "sexist" online shoe advert featuring topless women has been banned by the advertising watchdog.

Redfoot Shoes, which trades as Goodwin Smith based in Bacup, Lancashire, ran a campaign that included images of women covering their breasts with shoes.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said it was sexist and degrading to women and must not appear again. [more…]

1. Scandinavian vacuum manufacturer Electrolux used the following in an American campaign: "Nothing sucks like an Electrolux."

2. Coors put its slogan, "Turn It Loose," into Spanish where its translation was read as "Suffer From Diarrhea."

3. Clairol introduced the "Mist Stick", a curling iron, into German only to find out that "mist" is slang for manure. Not too many people had use for the "manure stick."
