New research from equimedia reveals that over nine in ten of Mum’s favourite brands offer poor mobile experience

According to research released today by digital media agency, equimedia, 91% of the brand websites handpicked by Mums have poor mobile website speeds.

The digital media specialists looked at mobile website download speeds based on Babycentre’s Welcome To Mums 2017 list of recommended baby products, and discovered that only two of the top listed brands achieved a ‘good’ rating when it came to mobile download speeds.

Movers and Groovers : IAB UK appoints Jon Mew as CEO

The Internet Advertising Bureau UK has named Jon Mew as its new chief executive.

Mew has been the IAB’s Chief Operating Officer since September 2014. He joined in November 2008 as the first Head of Mobile, before moving into the role of Director of Mobile and Operations which involved merging mobile into the core part of the business. This year mobile overtook desktop to become the biggest digital platform, in terms of display adspend.

Mew has worked across a variety of media and prior to the IAB held senior marketing roles at Freeserve and Orange.  [more…]

M&M’s flagship Leicester Square store has unveiled a spectacular daylight-visible retail display featuring two unique pods where bespoke, seasonal CG animation is stunningly 3D projection-mapped onto blank M&Ms bottles.  See the installation in action in this video.

The pods mark the debut installation from the brand new reseller partnership between Optoma laser projectors and DisplayMapper: the world’s first web-based 3D projection mapping system. Both parties embarked on the partnership as a way to combine DisplayMapper’s easy-to-use software with Optoma award-winning projectors - making affordable and simplified 3D projection mapping available to the masses. In-house agency specialist OLIVER has launched a new media division headed up by ex-ComScore senior vice president Duncan Trigg.

OLIVER Media aligns with OLIVER Group’s mission to offer agile, transparent solutions to its clients through its Inside Agency model (in which OLIVER builds bespoke teams to sit alongside its clients). The division will focus on ensuring all campaign media planning is based on real-time data insight to support the delivery of truly relevant content.

Trigg takes on the role of managing director of OLIVER Media, reporting directly in to OLIVER global chief executive Simon Martin and working closely with OLIVER UK chief executive Sharon Whale.
