The brainchild of 36-year-old Darren Leigh, Bury-based Leighmans has now been providing high-end gifts and gadgets for clients including Deutsche Bank for a decade.

University launches innovative open day campaign
All-expenses paid open days and an ‘Access all Areas’ student card are just part of an imaginative new scheme to help students thinking about studying at the University of East Anglia.
The ‘Ultimate Open Day’ will see six students, plus their parents and up to three friends, enjoy an exclusive day at the university’s Norwich campus.
The prize includes travel, overnight accommodation and free refreshments throughout the open day. Coupled with a one-to-one meeting with a lecturer in their chosen subject, reserved seating in talks and a bespoke tour of the campus, the package is designed to be a good way to see what higher education has to offer.

ubiCabs has officially launched today to make it easy for Londoners to order a minicab with an instant, secure, and cost-effective service they can count on – available as a mobile iPhone or Android app and online.

Tired of constantly being told their minicab was just ‘five minutes away’, founders Jay Patel, Lorenzo Caffarri and Prem Sharma combined their IT and logistics experience to create the innovative technology behind ubiCabs. It now means Londoners will always get the best option for their journey based on price, availability, quality and shortly, user feedback rating without having to do any of the legwork. ubiCabs is backed by Multimap entrepreneur Sean Phelan and Joe Bitran, founder and chief executive of one of the largest corporate chauffeur businesses in the UK, Travelhire.
