“A fun and engaging way to celebrate the arrival of the Galaxy S III” : Tom Jefferies, Head of Digital, Samsung UK & Ireland

Samsung Electronics UK  have announced the launch of a competition on Pinterest to celebrate its arrival on the content sharing website and the availability of the Galaxy S III after it hit shops across the UK on 30 May.

Competition terms and conditions can be found by visiting www.samsung.com/uk/gs3/pintowin.

For a five day period starting this week, Samsung is posting five unique images of the new device on UK blogs, the Samsung UK website, Samsung UK Twitter and Pinterest profile pages. To be in with a chance of winning, Samsung fans are being tasked with collecting all five images as well as adding their own five images to a Pinterest board which capture the inspiration behind the design of the Galaxy S III: nature.

Whether that be a sunset, the refraction of light in a rain drop or the sound of a ripple in a pond as it strikes the water – all elements of nature which are evoked in the design and features of the Galaxy S III. The best Pinterest boards will win a Galaxy S III of their own.

Tom Jefferies, Head of Digital, Samsung UK & Ireland, said: “We wanted to create a fun and engaging way to celebrate the arrival of the Galaxy S III and launch Samsung UK on Pinterest. Given the design aesthetic of our products across the board, and with nature being the inspiration for the design of the Galaxy S III, we felt that Pinterest was the perfect platform for us to run this competition.”

The campaign was developed and managed by Cheil Worldwide with support from Jam. It will initially launch on The Londonist. Competition terms and conditions can be found by visiting www.samsung.com/uk/gs3/pintowin.

The Galaxy S III is available to buy in the UK now across all major networks, key high street and out of town electrical retailers, online retailers and the Samsung Brand Store at Westfield Stratford City.
