Movers and Groovers : The Fresh Group @freshgroup has named Patrick Howells as its new managing director.

The 34-year-old has been at the Cheshire agency since 2006 and previously held the roles of business development director and most recently client services director.

AdColony today announced the opening of its European offices with new hire Andrew French, GM EMEA based out of London, who will lead AdColony’s continued expansion throughout the region.

With many of AdColony’s key app developers and advertisers driving business originating from international markets, @AdColony is bolstering the company’s already strong growth and dominance in mobile video advertising with a strategic move to have a more marked presence in Europe.

In the newly created role, Andrew French, GM EMEA, will helm AdColony’s growing EMEA business by providing support and strategic account management for top mobile publishers and advertisers in the region.

Prior to joining AdColony, Andrew was VP Client Services at Somo, the largest independent mobile solutions company in the world, where he was responsible for all media revenue.

Andrew was Somo’s second ever employee and built out the company’s international client list and Global Trading division, working with more than 250 partners to ensure efficient and effective media spend and results. “I’m extremely impressed with the best-in-class mobile video products that AdColony has established in the market,” said Andrew French, GM EMEA AdColony.

The Richard Denny Group, announced today the appointment of Simon Blaber as its new CEO.

Commenting on his new appointment, Simon Blaber said: “The Richard Denny Group @RichardDenny has a strong reputation for growing businesses and a clear vision for the future. The Group’s operations and ambitions are in keeping with my own work ethics, and I am very much looking forward to building on The Richard Denny Group’s already impressive achievements to help take us to a new level.”

Simon is a highly experienced business coach and entrepreneur, specialising in business transformation. Simon’s background is in financial services, where he started his career with Natwest Bank, before moving through companies selling financial products and services. In 2003 Simon created The Stratton Group – an award winning group of companies that specialised in managed risk, growing wealth and ring fencing assets whilst reducing taxation.

In 2012 Simon led the sale of Stratton Annette’s (previously part of The Stratton Group) for a seven figure sum. Following the sale, Simon created a number of coaching courses to help fellow business professionals improve their sales techniques, and help them deal with challenging business situations. It was during this time that Simon met with Richard Denny, founder of the Richard Denny Group, who then offered him the position of CEO.
