A team of event organisers, digital marketing specialists and creatives from the CI Group have turned their lockdown exercise regimes into a charity fundraising event by together walking, running or cycling the equivalent 150 miles from Oxfordshire to London and back.
27 members of the The CI Group, a marketing services agency covering creative, strategy, technology and execution with offices in Banbury, Oxfordshire and London, have taken on the challenge.
They are raising money for Banbury Food Bank by collectively covering the distance of the round trip between the Group’s office in Banbury to London by 12 May – while continuing to respect the Government Guidelines currently in place on exercise.
Group CEO David Watt, has pledged to match what the team raises.
Adrian Asuquo, Senior Account Manager who came up with the idea said: “Like most people, we wanted to do what we can to help during the crisis.
When I spoke to friends and colleagues, one of the biggest challenges people had was staying active.
Working from home, it’s easy to sit at your computer all day and not do anything else. That in mind, I thought this was the perfect opportunity for people to get moving, not only for their mental health and well-being, but for a good cause”
