JICWEBS : Be aware of the latest work going on to tackle the big issues facing online advertising – fraud, brand safety and viewability

JICWEBS (the independent body for best practice and standards for UK online ad trading) has announced the latest steps taken to tackle the big issues facing online advertising – fraud, brand safety and viewability.


  • Yesterday saw the second industry “Town Hall” in which nearly 150 people heard about what’s being done to tackle the issues. A lively debate included speakers from Unilever, OMD and Future Publishing, as well as all the major trade bodies.
  • Last week, Group M became the latest company to achieve certification for Brand Safety. They join 36 other companies who’ve successfully been reviewed against the Good Practice principles for protecting where brand’s online ads appear.
  • Affectv has become the first company to register to undergo certification for anti-fraud. They will be reviewed on whether they apply the Good Practice Principles to reduce the risk of fraudulent ads being served.
