Best Digital Marketing Agencies on the Sunshine Coast

You need a digital marketing agency on the Sunshine Coast… You’ve Googled it… Now you’re drowning in agencies claiming they’re “award-winning,” “data-driven,” and “results-focused.”

Here’s the truth…

Most agency websites say the same stuff.

Everyone’s “passionate about your success.”

Everyone uses “cutting-edge strategies.”

It’s useless.

So we did something different… we did a deep dive into each of their online profiles.

We asked hard questions.

We got actual prices (or noted when they wouldn’t give them).

We looked at who they actually work with, not who they claim to serve.

This list has one rule: we only included agencies we’d actually recommend to a friend running a business on the coast.

How to use this: Ctrl+F your situation:

  • Need a full “Stack Digital Marketing Agency” → Start with #1
  • “Broke but need help” → Jump to #8, #9, #10
  • “Need it done yesterday” → See #5
  • “Want someone local I can meet” → All of these, but especially #2, #3, #4

Let’s go.

1. Websites That Sell ⭐ Our Top Pick

Websites That Sell is a digital marketing agency specialising in Web Design, Development, SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads and Social Media Marketing servicing Australian business owners across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Sunshine Coast & the Gold Coast.

Best for: Anyone who needs their website to actually make money

Most web designers care about winning awards. Websites That Sell cares about one thing: does your site turn visitors into customers?

They’re not cheap. They’re not the biggest team on the coast. But if “pretty website” isn’t your goal, if “revenue-generating asset” is your goal, they’re worth the premium.

What they do:

  • Build websites designed to convert (every button, every headline, every image has a job)
  • E-commerce that actually moves product
  • Take your marketing seriously, not just your aesthetics

What they don’t do:

  • Compete on price (you’ll pay $8K+ for a site)
  • Win design awards (their sites look good, not “stunning” – because they prioritize function)
  • Manage your social media empire

We called with a fake inquiry.

Response in 2 hours.

First question: “What’s your conversion rate now?” Not “what’s your budget?” Not “what colors do you like?” They wanted numbers. That tells you everything.

Their approach: start with your revenue goals, work backward to design. Most agencies do the opposite. They design something pretty, then hope it converts.

Real costs:

  • Website builds: $8,000-$15,000+ depending on complexity
  • Monthly marketing: $3,000-$6,000+ depending on what you need
  • They’ll tell you if you can’t afford them. Respect.

Why they’re #1: Because if your website is supposed to drive your business (not just “have a web presence”), these guys get it. They’re the only agency on this list that talks about conversion rates before color palettes.

The catch: If you want cutting-edge design that wins awards, go elsewhere. If you want a site that pays for itself, start here.

2. Chilli

Best for: Established businesses that need full-service and have the budget for it

Chilli’s been around since 1993. That’s before Google existed. Before Facebook. Before “digital marketing” was even a term.

Why does this matter? Because they’ve seen every trend come and go. They know which “revolutionary new strategies” are actually worth your money and which ones are not.

The big deal: They own Pepper Productions, their in-house video and photo production company. Most agencies outsource this, adding weeks and thousands to your project. Chilli does it all under one roof.

What they’re good at:

  • Complete brand rollouts (logo, guidelines, website, video, print—everything)
  • Video content (because they actually own a production company)
  • Projects that need multiple disciplines working together
  • Not being the new shiny agency that’ll be gone in 3 years

What they’re not:

  • Cheap (this is the premium option on the list)
  • Fast (quality takes time, they’re not cutting corners)
  • Focused on just one thing (they’re full-service, which means generalists not specialists)

They work with serious local clients like Kings Beach Surf Club and multiple allied health clinics. These aren’t businesses that tolerate mediocrity.

Real costs: Expect $10,000+ for significant projects (brand development, major websites). Monthly retainers run $3,000-$8,000+ depending on scope.

This is not the agency for startups burning through their first $50K. This is for businesses with established revenue who need comprehensive, professional marketing.

The Green Chilli thing: They’re actually serious about sustainability. Waterfront office designed for natural ventilation. Paper-free operations. Cloud-based systems. If you care about this stuff, they’re walking the walk.

Why they’re #2: Longevity and integration. When you need everything—brand, website, video, marketing—and you want it done by people who’ve been doing this for 30 years, you call Chilli.

The catch: You’re paying for premium service. If budget’s tight, there are other options on this list.

3. Thinkroom Digital

Best for: Businesses that hate lock-in contracts (and want serious SEO/PPC chops)

Here’s what makes Thinkroom different: no lock-in contracts. Month-to-month only.

You know what that means? They have to earn your business every single month. They can’t trap you in a 12-month contract then coast on mediocre results.

This is rare. Most agencies demand 6-12 month commitments. Thinkroom’s approach: if we’re good, you’ll stay. If we’re not, you should leave.

What they do well:

  • SEO (clients literally call them “SEO wizards” in reviews)
  • Google Ads and PPC
  • Strategic planning (they start with a half-day strategy session, not tactics)
  • Explaining things in plain English (no jargon, no BS)

What they don’t do:

  • Lock you in (we covered this)
  • Jump straight to tactics (they insist on strategy first)
  • Work with just anyone (they’ll tell you if you’re not a fit)

They’re based in Noosa but serve the whole Coast. If you’re in Noosa, Coolum, Mooloolaba, or Maroochydore, face-to-face meetings are easy.

Real costs: Monthly retainers typically $2,500-$6,000 depending on what you need. No lock-in means you can start, test results, and scale up or bail out.

45+ five-star reviews. People don’t fake that kind of consistency.

Why they’re #3: The month-to-month model removes risk. And their SEO expertise is legitimate—not just claimed, actually proven in results.

The catch: They lead with strategy. If you want someone to “just run some ads quick,” they’ll probably tell you to hire someone else. They want to understand your business first, which takes time.

4. Meridian Digital

Best for: Professional services and consultants who don’t have time for marketing

Leeha runs Meridian Digital. She works with consultants, professional services, tradies—businesses where the owner is too busy doing client work to handle marketing.

This isn’t a 50-person agency. It’s small, focused, and personal. You work directly with people who know your name and your business.

What they do:

  • All-inclusive marketing packages (one price, everything included)
  • WordPress websites
  • Content that doesn’t sound like a robot wrote it
  • Social media for professionals who hate social media

Who they work with: Real estate, tradies, conveyancing, consulting, HR, allied health. If you’re a professional service provider drowning in client work, they get it.

Real costs: $1,500-$4,000/month for all-inclusive packages. This is the affordable end of professional help on this list.

One client said Leeha “listens and understands what we need, and delivers quality content consistently.” Another said working with Meridian “significantly boosts our productivity as business owners, allowing us to concentrate on our core operations.”

That’s the value: you stop trying to DIY your marketing and get back to billable work.

Why they’re #4: Specialized in professional services. They understand your world—long sales cycles, relationship-based selling, limited marketing time. They’re not trying to sell you TikTok strategies that don’t fit your business.

The catch: Small team means capacity limits. They can’t take unlimited clients while maintaining quality. If they’re full, you might wait.

5. Get More Traffic

Best for: Businesses that need leads NOW and will pay for them

Get More Traffic does one thing: paid advertising. Google Ads, Facebook Ads, that’s it.

No SEO. No content marketing. No brand strategy. Just ads that drive traffic today.

The interesting part: Performance-based pricing. Their fee is tied to results. Most agencies charge regardless of performance. Get More Traffic only makes money if you get results.

What they do:

  • Google Ads management
  • Facebook and Instagram ads
  • Campaign optimization
  • Budget maximization

What they don’t do:

  • SEO (if you want organic, look elsewhere)
  • Content marketing
  • Build websites
  • Long-term brand building

Real costs: You’ll need budget for the ads themselves ($1,000-$3,000+ monthly going to Google/Facebook), plus management fees. The performance-based model means exact pricing depends on results.

Why they’re #5: If you need fast results and have budget for ad spend, this is the play. PPC delivers traffic immediately. SEO takes 6-12 months. Sometimes you can’t wait.

The catch: The traffic stops when the budget stops. This isn’t building long-term assets like SEO. You’re renting visibility, not buying it.

Also: performance-based sounds great until you realize total investment (ad spend + management) can actually be higher than traditional models. Do the math.

6. Skyward Digital

Best for: Data nerds who want analytics and multi-channel strategy

Skyward Digital leads with data. Not creative, not relationships—data.

If you’re the type of business owner who makes decisions based on spreadsheets and metrics, you’ll like these guys. If you trust gut feelings over numbers, you’ll hate them.

What they do:

  • Multi-channel campaigns (SEO, PPC, social, email—all integrated)
  • Heavy analytics and reporting
  • Local SEO for Coast businesses
  • Strategic planning based on actual data, not hunches

Real costs: $2,500-$7,000+ monthly depending on how many channels you’re running.

Why they’re #6: They’re comprehensive and data-focused. You’ll know exactly what’s working and what’s not. No vague “we’re building brand awareness” excuses.

The catch: Their data-driven, multi-channel approach might be overkill if you just need simple local SEO. Sometimes simpler is better.

7. Spark Interact

Best for: Businesses that need custom tech (apps, complex integrations) alongside marketing

Most agencies are either marketers or developers. Spark Interact is both.

If you need a custom app built, or complex software integrations, or technical solutions that template websites can’t handle—and you want marketing too—they’re one of the few who can do both.

What they’re good at:

  • Custom web applications
  • Mobile app development (iOS, Android)
  • Technical SEO and marketing
  • E-commerce with complex requirements
  • Integration projects (connecting different systems)

Who needs this: E-commerce businesses with unique product needs. SaaS companies. Businesses with complex workflows requiring custom solutions. Not businesses that just need a WordPress site and some Google Ads.

Real costs: Upper tier. Custom development starts around $15,000-$25,000 for simple projects. Complex apps easily hit $50,000-$100,000+. Monthly marketing retainers run $3,000-$8,000+.

Why they’re #7: Unique capability. If you need both technical chops and marketing, most agencies make you hire two vendors. Spark Interact handles both.

The catch: You’re paying for specialized expertise. If you just need a simple website and basic SEO, you’re overpaying here.

8. Mediaco

Best for: Brands building on story and emotional connection, not just features

Mediaco focuses on content marketing and brand storytelling.

If your competitive advantage is your story, your values, your brand—not just price or features—they get it.

What they do:

  • Brand storytelling
  • Content marketing that doesn’t suck
  • SEO that works with quality content (not against it)
  • Social media that’s actually interesting

Who this works for: Lifestyle brands, wellness businesses, hospitality, professional services building thought leadership. Anyone competing on more than just price.

Real costs: $1,500-$4,000+ monthly for content packages.

Why they’re #8: Content done right builds compound interest. One great piece of content can drive traffic for years. But it takes time and patience.

The catch: Storytelling and content marketing show results slowly. If you need leads next week, this isn’t the strategy. If you’re building a brand for the long haul, it is.

9. Vivo Group

Best for: Businesses expanding from local to regional or national

Vivo Group specializes in customized campaigns for different audience segments.

If you’ve maxed out the Sunshine Coast market and need to expand to Brisbane, or beyond Brisbane to national—they understand how to scale.

What they do:

  • SEO for both local and national
  • PPC campaigns
  • Web design
  • Campaign customization for different markets

Real costs: $2,000-$5,000+ monthly depending on scope.

Why they’re #9: They understand the progression from local → regional → national. Different markets need different approaches. They handle that.

The catch: Broad service offering means they’re not ultra-specialized in any one area.

10. SunCoast Media

Best for: Startups and tiny businesses that need affordable, ethical basics

Adriana runs SunCoast Media. It’s just her. One person.

This is the budget option on the list. But budget doesn’t mean bad—it means small, personal, focused on essentials.

What she does:

  • WordPress websites
  • Basic SEO (white-hat only, no shady tactics)
  • Monthly SEO packages
  • Domain and hosting help

The guarantee: 100% satisfaction or money back. No questions asked. She’s that confident in her work.

Real costs: This is the most affordable option on the list. Website projects start in the low thousands (not $10K+). Monthly SEO packages start small. Hosting is $25+GST monthly.

Month-to-month everything. No lock-ins.

Why she’s #10: Sometimes you don’t need a 20-person agency. Sometimes you need someone affordable who’ll actually answer the phone and explain things in plain English without IT jargon.

The catch: Solo operation means capacity limits. She can only handle so many clients. If you’re a large business with complex needs, you’ll outgrow this fast.

But for startups, tiny businesses, and first websites? She’s solid.

What You Actually Need to Know

Most Agencies Will Promise You Lies

“First page Google rankings guaranteed!” — They’re lying or stupid. No one can guarantee rankings.

“Triple your traffic in 30 days!” — Possible with paid ads and a big budget. Not possible with SEO.

“We’re a Google Premier Partner!” — This just means they spend a lot on Google Ads. It doesn’t mean they’re good at it.

Pricing Red Flags

Too cheap = trouble. $200/month for “full-service SEO” isn’t a deal. It’s either outsourced to someone who barely speaks English, or it’s a junior staffer learning on your dime.

Quality costs money. Not insane money, but real money.

Vague pricing = run away. “We’ll need to discuss your needs first” is fine. “Our packages start at contact us for pricing” is bullcrap. They should be able to give you ballpark figures.

Contract Confusion

Most agencies want 6-12 month commitments. Some of this is legit (SEO genuinely takes months). Some is just them locking you in so they can coast.

Fair: 3-6 months initial, then month-to-month Sketchy: 12+ months with no performance exit clause Run away: Auto-renewal with 90-day cancellation notice

What to Actually Ask

Forget the corporate interview questions. Ask:

  1. “Who specifically works on my account?” (Names, not “our team of experts”)
  2. “What can I realistically expect in 3 months?” (If they promise the moon, they’re lying)
  3. “Show me three clients similar to my business and what you did for them.” (Not huge brands, actual similar businesses)
  4. “What happens if I’m unhappy after 3 months?” (Their answer tells you everything)
  5. “Do you outsource anything?” (Not automatically bad, but you should know)

If they dodge these questions, walk.

The Sunshine Coast Reality

The Coast isn’t Sydney or Melbourne. Your budget is probably smaller. Your market is probably local or regional, not national.

This means:

  • You probably don’t need a $10K/month agency (yet)
  • Local SEO matters more than national SEO
  • Tourism seasonality affects your business (and should affect your marketing)
  • Brisbane is close enough to target, far enough to be a different market

Choose agencies that understand this. National agencies often don’t.

Should You Even Hire an Agency?

Maybe not.

Don’t hire an agency if:

  • You’re pre-revenue or barely profitable
  • You can’t commit $1,500+ monthly for at least 6 months
  • You’re still figuring out your business model
  • You need someone to post on Instagram twice a week (hire a freelancer for $500/month instead)

Do hire an agency if:

  • Marketing directly drives revenue and you need more of it
  • You’ve tried DIY and it’s not working
  • Your time is worth more than the agency costs
  • You’re scaling and need systems, not just tactics

Here’s some advantages of hiring an agency we’ve come up with.

One More Thing

Half these agencies will see this list and email me. Some will be happy. Some will want changes. Some will claim I got their pricing wrong.

That’s fine. This list reflects what we found in our research. Prices change. Agencies improve or decline. Your mileage may vary.

The point isn’t that this list is perfect. The point is it’s honest. We’re not getting paid by these agencies. We’re just trying to help t businesses find actual good help instead of sorting through 47 agencies all claiming to be “data-driven, award-winning, results-focused, passionate about your success.”

Use this as a starting point. Then call 2-3 agencies. Ask hard questions. Check references. Trust your gut.

Good luck.
