Scottish Rugby agree three year strategic partnership with Lucozade Sport Brand-

Scottish Rugby (SRU) has today unveiled details of an exciting new partnership with one of the world’s leading sports drink brands, Lucozade Sport. The deal will run until 2016 and sees the Lucozade Sport brand partner with Scotland’s elite rugby squads as Official Sports Drink of Scottish Rugby.

The UK’s number one sports drink will fuel Scottish Rugby, becoming official partners to the Senior, Sevens, Women’s and age-group squads, as well as pro-clubs sides, Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby.

The Lucozade Sport brand have an excellent reputation in research and development and as part of this partnership Scottish Rugby will utilise their expertise to further develop world-class hydration strategies, aiding performance optimisation, endurance and recovery.

Alongside elite rugby, the brand is committed to supporting adult rugby outside of the professional game. They will be launching the partnership with the Earn the Shirt campaign, which aims to reward the best amateur players from across Scotland with tickets to see the national team play at Murrayfield.

Scotland Head Coach, Scott Johnson added: “Keeping our players in the best possible health and physical condition is paramount to the team’s success and we are sure that our partnership with Lucozade Sport can only further help our strength and conditioning team in achieving this.”
