New events manager at The Deck at the National Theatre

The Deck, a quirky inside-outside venue, located at the National Theatre on the South Bank, has appointed Charley Taylor-Smith as senior hospitality events

Charley, who has over eight years’ experience in the event and hospitality industry, including previously working at the National as events and functions manager from 2009-2010, will manage a wide range of large scale events from the initial sale, through to production.

Charley comments: “I’m very excited to be returning to the National in a new role and to join the team at The Deck where I’m looking forward to developing great client relationships and executing some truly outstanding events. It’s great to have joined such a dynamic and passionate group of people and I believe my enthusiasm, energy and imagination will add to the strength of what is already a very successful events team.”

Charley previously worked as a senior sales and events manager at the Best Parties Ever/Tapenade where she gathered a wealth of experience in both the summer and Christmas seasons.  Her previous role at the National gained her invaluable experience as she helped turn The Deck into an all-round event and production service. Prior to this Charley worked as freelance event manager for a number of well-known companies across the country including Mustard, Smart Hospitality, Leith’s and Lords Cricket Ground.
